In March of 2014, Jason Horn and Adam Smothers, our fearless hero and his dashing sidekick (which is which depends on who you ask) attended Arkansas' only Warhammer 40,000 Grand Tournament, (March Madness). Having had a fantastic time playing a game that is extremely overpriced and very time consuming over the span of a weekend, they came to a conclusion..."WE NEED TO DO THIS IN OKLAHOMA!" The dynamic duo set off on their quest to build the first ever grand tournament in Oklahoma. The task was massive and daunting, having taken its toll on friendships, families, and finances; but our protagonists forged on. In less than a year's time, the Iron Halo Grand Tournament was born. Despite overwhelming odds, underwhelming resources, and a year of constant 3D printing, the Iron Halo Grand Tournament returned for a second year more than double the player base and journeymen having traveled as far away as the west and east coasts to participate and test their tactical experience against some of the greatest players in the region. The Iron Halo is coming back again, and will continue to strive to grow and expand in its player base but also has aspirations to expand and accommodate new and different game systems outside of Warhammer 40,000. We invite you to come and take part in a weekend of challenging fun where your limits will be tested and your mettle will be proven at The Iron Halo.
